Blackberry has officially announced to end its support for older models and put an end to making new phones. It remarks the end of an era of its users.
The fantastic innovation that Samsung continues to provide to the cellphone industry does not cease to amaze me – a long-time Apple iPhone user. Androids dominating over 70% of the global and 40% of the US market speaks volumes. It raises the question of what makes the US population jump on iPhones instead of Androids? Is it only iMessage and the simplicity of the Apple UI? Or are there other features that make people prefer the iPhone over Android?
While Phone Daddy takes no sides in this ongoing battle, we would love to see our customers comment on what they think is the best brand for them!
With that being said, we can now move on to the actual purpose of this article: Samsung innovation. Reportedly, Samsung has officially filed a patent design concept for their latest phone models. These designs are based on the motor and hinge concept. According to this concept, the smartphone will be able to perform the functions of folding and sliding simultaneously. Two such Samsung phones are the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Flip 3.
While many companies have filed design concepts, this South Korean giant was the first to file a patent design with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Samsung reviving the folding feature for smartphones is like an ode to the classic flip phones. Isn’t it interesting to think that some of the top-selling models back in the day were flip phones? However, we quickly got ousted by the newer smartphones that came out. And now, we are ready to take a trip down memory lane with a modern spin to it.
When you think for a moment, you may start wondering why anyone would want to go back to an old concept of fold or flip. But you should rest assured that the patent Samsung phones aren’t meant to be regular smartphones. Samsung is determined to elevate its user experience with the latest Androids. So, these smartphones are designed for multi-tasking and show users the true meaning of performance. With this patent design, Samsung will continue to push the frontier of progress. It means the veteran smartphone brand will launch more phones with a rollable and foldable design.
If you’re wondering how it will work, let me break it down for you. Since it is a hybrid phone with a rolling and folding feature, it will feature a hinge that makes the folding possible. On the other hand, it will also contain a motor for sliding purposes.
Now, one may ask:
“Richard, why would I spend $1500 on a phone when I can simply buy a computer at that point?”
Well, there is no need to spend this amount on a smartphone if you can fit a computer inside your pocket and take it everywhere. Samsung hybrid phones are a valuable investment that gives you value for your money. These phones have the best Android chips, a 3300 mAH battery, a 120Hz display, and built-in 5G connectivity.
And what’s better than that? Being able to get your hands on certified used Samsung cellphones at Phone Daddy at attractive discount offers.
Over here at Phone Daddy, we would love to hear your comments on what you think about the upcoming features that Samsung continues to introduce. If you have an iPhone like me, let’s hope Apple realizes to watch out for the rising number of Android users for the excellent innovations Samsung keeps introducing.
